Ok so my clutch sounds like a turkey?
So...it just kinda started to do this. It sounds like chatter, but it engages smoothly, without that vibration. It makes a sound just like a turkey call when i release the clutch in first...sometimes in second gear, and when i just straight punch the gas. Im not sure what the deal is, but tempature and humidity i think play around with this cuz it doesnt do it that much if at all when its cold, but it gets worse during warm and humid air. Anyones input is appreciated.
if it does it at idle get someone to press the clutch, and stand there to here where it's coming from exactly, but if you have the time just take it out and see whats up.
Well....it still grabs like a champ though. It doesnt make any noises when i just push and release the clutch. I think the problem has to deal with that im too easy on it, being that it has a lightened flywheel.
Ok....this is what happens...and thats definatly a good idea tatmonster - ill make sure to look over them since i just had a new transmission installed.
At idle:
no noise with clutch released
no noise with clutch pushed in
Driving:
When i allow the clutch to engage under 2000 rpms, it makes the noise.
If i rev it over 2000 and take off the noise almost goes completely away and 2500-3000rpms, nothing.
Personally, its going to obviously make sense to be the throw-out bearing because thats how my luck is, but im just praying its only a motor mount issue.
Other than that, there no apparent noise while im driving, unless I allow it to go under 2000 rpms when coming to a stop.
