ok got som bseries ecu and motor questions
so i have a da with the stock gsr (b17a1) im looking to get a new head for it. Seein as b17's are rare i was lookin at a b16 or b18c head. 2 questions First will my stock ecu run either head and second will i lose horsepower with a different head. thanks guys

dude b16 and b17 heads are almost identical (cast wise) the only difference is the valve train and cams
but to answer your question:
if you bolted a newer gsr head (square combustion chamber with quench areas) you would raise you compression slightly, but if you went with a b16 head you wouldnt be able to tell the diff. at all.

gotcha so ur sayin i should go with the b16 head? and would the ecu still be ok with either head?

pmed about that. but yeah if you jsut put the b16 head on there and put the b17 cams in it you shoudl be fine, even if you want to use the b16 cams you should be alright. whats wrong with the b17 head?
