Oil pressure problem

I've had this problem for quite sometime. I currently get around 0 psi at idle which sets off the dummy light. Unfortunately I do not have an oil pressure gauge but I can tell that my oil pressure is low across the board because while crusing, engine coolant temps reach anywhere from 195-200*. This is not normal since I have a 180* drilled thermastat along with an aftermarket PCM which turns on the cooling fans once the temperature exceeds somewhere around 185. This problem is very annoying and now at idle I can hear something ticking, I'm assuming its my lifters since they aren't getting any oil pressure. I'm going to install a new oil relief spring today that I ordered earlier this week and I'm praying that this will be a permanent fix for this problem. Although in the back of my head I have this fear that its my bearings, although they were replaced in September of 2003 when I broke three of them. Any thoughts?

stop driving the car... get a oil pressure gauge for piece of mind....it took only a split second for my bearing to look like this

my other bearings were scored but this one was the worst... luckily i was able to save my motor... all this took was one incident of oil starvation. i now have a oil pressure gauge and it has already saved me again.

Re: Oil pressure problem

Yeah I'm hoping it won't have to come to that. I've already had that issue before and replaced all the bearings, so I don't know why it'd happen again in such a short amount of time. Oh well, I'll run some scans and monitor the oil pressure and if it doesn't work, then I guess I gotta tear the engine apart and take a look at the bearings...

Thanks for the input.

0 psi and i'd say you already spun at least one rod....
