Default obd2 to ob1 conversion help!!!

need help with what items i need to buy so i could do a obd1 conversion. the car i have is a 99 honda civic, the motor is a d16y7 with a intake mini-swap(y8 intake). i would like to know because i could get a chipped p28 that i can get my hands on for cheap. the reason for this is maybe a turbo set-up in the future.

You need an OBD2b to OBD1 adapter harness for the ECU. That's it.

If it didn't crank, it wasn't the ECU. You can physically unplug the ECU and hand it to your friend to take in the house, and the engine will still crank. I know this because I did that a few times in my Honda a long time ago, I left the ECU sitting in the floorboard (but didn't plug it in) and didn't realize why the engine wouldn't run until I looked over.
