No vtec no matter what
I am working on a 96 cx with a JDM GSR. Running the obd2 jumper to a JDM P72 computer. I cant get vtec in no way, shape,or form at all!!!! Its pissing me off so bad. Some one help????????
List of thing i have tried:
Replaced oil pump
Replaced vtec solenoid
New pressure switch
Checked and recked the head along w/ the rockers and cam caps just double checking everything
Checked wiring, even tried hard wiring straight to the ECU, this is what makes me think it could be an oil pressure issue
New oil and filter Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: No vtec no matter what
has the ECU been messed with or is it never been opened. What about the ground for the Pressure switch, is it a good connection. if you think its a oil pressure issue , you could get a pressure kit and screw it in on the front of the head on the passenger side.

Re: No vtec no matter what
The P72 is virgin its never been cracked open at all. No oil light or anything on so i guess its not the oil PSI. as far as the computer says the only MIL is an O2 sensor.
