Hey, I was driving a long yesturday and all of the sudden my sound stops working, i tried turning it on and off, and switching cd's but it didn't seem to work. Any ideas? Maybe a blown fuse? Well let me know guys.

did you hit a bump or something? You might have jogged the connections on your speakers or something.

List your "sound" equipment so that we can give you a better hand.

 

IF your cd player is showing that its playing properly and you arent getting any sound of the speakers this is a good indication that the polarity of the speakers is touching on one of them, or in the back of the deck.

Make sure no + and - wires are touching each other, this is probably it.

 

Hey, i checked the back of the deck and nothing seems to be touching, also the fuse back there is still good. I don't think the speaker wires got unhooked or are touching because the - and + are pretty far apart. The car is a 95 civic lx 4dr, with stock speakers, a small amp, and a clarion deck. Let me know guys.

 

THE AMP RUNNING ALL OF THE SPEAKERS?

 

Not sure I didn't install it, and it's kinda cold out today so i didn't check. It was in the car when i got it, prolly just gonna disconnect it.

 

Check to see that the amp is powered up, you may have blown a fuse on it, or the remote turn on wire (blue usually) may have come loose.

 

This has happened to me more than once. The first time i had no sound for a week. Then it just randomly came back. Next time it was out for a few hours, again randomly comming back. I have no clue as to what caused it. Wish i could help you out.

 

def. sounds like a amp problem. why do you have a amp on factory speakers anywase?
