can you explain to me how hard it is goin from an N/A to TT..swap wise?

 

I'm not a upra junkie, but i'm assuming if the sc300 TT swap is fairly painless, then the na-TT supra should be about the same.

 

i hope so, fuckin supra fourms is laggin with my activation email..i would like to find out..hatchy is done being paid..time for something new and boosted =)

haha i told you when hatchy is done, something new is gonna come..i can prolly find one with a blown motor for under 5 for the shell, that give me 15k to work with =) altered here i come =)

 

from what i've read on supraforums it would be cheaper to just buy a TT instead of trying to do a NA-TT swap. you'll need a motor, motor mounts, tranny, driveshaft, rear diff, ecu, bigger brakes, intercooler and piping, power steering pump, and some other shit i can't think of right now. you can do it for less than $7-$8k if you do all the work yourself but i'm not sure exactly how much work is involved.

 

yeah im just tryin to figure out how hard the labor is, cause if its not that bad we can do it at my boys house, but if its harder then id ask altered..i can get a complete front clip prolly for around 5k from uphere so that would take care of everything..the thing with buying a TT is that its hard to find one at a good price thats not an auto, also with the TT version my insurance will be off the wall. when i could have a n/a and not mention anything about it being boostd


also nimmo whats the difference in the motors, couldnt i boost the n/a motor..i just heard compression is a lil higher, can you tell me what else?

I think Nimmo hit the nail on the head. Just like Z's, it's alot cheaper and easier to just buy a TT than to turbo a NA. But I see your point about the insurance deal; that'd be cool.

I just want you to buy the turbo one because I know it will take FOREVER for you to get all the stuff you need for turbo (that's alot of damn money homie!) and then to actually put it on.
