i just bought a crx and the engine is turning but not syarting. does anybody have any idea whats keeping from not starting. timing may be off, or maybe a bad distributor?????

 

Could be any of about 100 different things. Start by checking to see if you're getting fuel and spark. Find out and we'll go from there.

 

 

mine had that problem when i bought it, it was the distributor ran fine once replaced, you can test the coil to make sure you dont need to buy a new one

My crx had a problem with the distributor. One day the car just cut off and wouldn't spark. Then my replacement distributor would be pretty good for a while then the car would cut off the i could clutch start it or at a start just turn the key. Finally it just died and i returned it.
