Re: Need info on difference of k20A
hey man I got this doing a search on automotiveforums.com

"K20A- JDM Honda Integra Type R 220HP
K20A2- Acura RSX-Type S and Japanese and Euro Civic Type R--200HP
K20A3-RSX base model and EP3 Civic Si
these blocks are very similar, the only difference is the compression is higher on the K20A and K20A2 because i-VTEC is different. These 2 cars run Vtec on the exhaust and intake cams as the RSX base and Si just have the VTEC on the intake cam. Timing and fuel duties are carried out by the "i" in i-VTEC which is pretty much like having adjustable cam gears that self adjust themselves to give you the best torque curve the motor can give. So you see the intake cam is constantly adjusting itself from a dead stop all the way to redline.
and of course all HP ratings stated above are from Honda and rated at the flywheel. The RSX Type-S stock is putting down the same numbers as my Si with my mods to the wheels."

Re: Need info on difference of k20A
Don't forget the intake manifolds, the Type S, Type R and Civic SI all use short intake runners while the base RSX(i own one) has 2 short and 2 long intake runners. Type S make 142 tq
