just get a bar and do it yourself. all you have to do is press down the spring just enough to get he locks off. i took a wrench and stepped on it and put a magnet to the locks. but i didnt put them on anything. so i dont know how to do that though. lol

^^Not that easy. You’re best bet is to find a used head and rebuild it. What type of engine is it? I have a head for as b18b1 you can have for $25.

120k on it. Got a used one rebuilt when I did a timing belt on my sisters integra. Would just have it checked out, but can't see any bent valves.

I'm 95% sure my head has no issues, any shop should be able to check it out and even change the valve seals (although the head didn't smoke) for around $40-$60. What do you mean size torque wrench? I'm almost positive the head bolts are 15mm. MAKE SURE YOU USE A 6 POINT SOCKET. PREF AN IMPACT SOCKET. Grab a hellacious cheater bar, make sure you're using a decent wrench, and go to town to get it off. As far as torque specs for the head botls, I'll have to check, I have them in a book back at the place (still at work)
