Default my gauges dont work

no aftermarket gauges, normal gauges in my cluster

speedometer
odometer
tripometer
temp
gas lvl works when it wants to.

any help on where do get the hooked up is appreciated, or any info on how to do so myself.

also, when my car idles at a stop light, it likes to rev between 1-1.5k rpms on its own, and its bugging me!

try your TPS sensor on the back of the throttle body for the idling problem

you can go get a manual on your car at advanced auto parts or some store like that and it will tell you the wiring scheme. If not you can find someone to put them in for cheap. And for the idle problem, like Lude said, try the TPS Sensor
I had a idle problem on my car a while back and it turned out to be the fuel injectors, heh go figure, they were over spraying.

ill check that out tomarrow when i get out of class, but i noticed something about it tomarrow, i was playing with the dimmer on my gauge cluster, and when the car drops back down to 1k rpms, its losing power likes its trying to shut off. the lights get dimmer, and the motor sputters to stay running.
