1st off they didnt offer cobra's until 93' but anyways..... i would check the timing to start off and then go from there... running lean could be a possibility, but everything will be out of whack if the timing is off....

sounds like you got probs you shouldnt have to pump the gas to start it unless you stuck a carb on it the back fires probally timing related and yeah there is no such thing as a 87 gt cobra.

ok well its an 87 5.0 from a gt, and a cobra intake, the fuel pump sounds preety load too, i guess its normall though, but yeah timing is first on my list ill do that when i get of work today

timing is fine its mass air sensor, there isnt one......so now im on the hunt
