No, you cannot use the D16y8 distributor.

If you are staying obd-0, use a HF Crx/EX Civic four door, or CRX SI distributor

when i did this conversion i used obd 0 add first then swapped to the obd 1 injectors but you have to drop the resitor box it ran fine the i got a the obd 0 to obd 1 conversion harness for the ecu and i used a y8 dizzy but in high rpms it seemed to be off a little so then i changed the dizzy to an obd1 and i rn flawless then so yes it will run but i don't recomend it , it sucks just do it right th first time then be done don't try to short cut it like i tried just because i have these parts it will just cause more work and money in the end sell or try to trade for the stuff you need.

alright this is what i got so far. i got zc injectors, si resister box, z6 manifold, brand new si dizzy. i ran c1 to blue/green, c2 to blue/yellow, swapped c1 to b10, c2 to b12. i ran a1 to injec. 1, a3 to injec. 2, a5 to injec. 3 and a7 to injec. 4. i also ran a15 to the yellow/black wire on the resistor box. then i did color for color on the dizzy connector. i tried to swap the white wires still nothing. when i swap them one way i get code 15 so i swapped them back. im so confused. something so simple is being a pain in the ass. also got brand new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires.

Code 15 is ignitor unit.

Either your wiring is fucked up (look on your mpfi schematics and it'll tell you the pinout for that) or you have bought a dizzy with a bad ignition coil.
