I want to put lsd on it. I hear some guy selling one on ebay because he bought it but it didnt fit. Even though he had a b series tranny and the lsd came from another b series tranny. Something about the ring gear didnt fit. can anyone tell me what lsd I should get. I see a lot of lsd units from jdm integra type r, will these fit my gsr tranny??

get a phantom grip, they are cheap and work well, plus if you got some mechanical skill you can install it yourself. plus very modifiably if you want to change the grip, aka 1.5 way or 2.0 way. etc, for less than others.

 

yeah do this and you will want to kill yourself after it destroys your tranny.


all bseries LSD will fit and work. even the JDM ITR.

 

let me guess you did it yourself, found out you are not a car-god, and blew your sh!t. have had mine in my hbk for like 2 yrs and had no prob, but then again i read the instructions.

 

but then again that is in a cable tranny, and i know hydro trannys are a little more sensative to what you put in them.

 

yeah its a hydro, and Im not getting a phantom grip. I autocross my car and soon wills start road racing and phantom grip is not good for any of those kind of racing. their good for launching at a drag strip. thanks anyways. I also have another friend that says even k series will fit but I dont really trust him on that one. they dont even look the same.

 

negative ,there not all interchangeable...........i cant put a factory type r lsd in my ls tranny, it wont fit, ring gears are different as well.......

Not all b series diffs are interchangeable, If you have the final drive and differental maybe but im pretty sure not all diffs work. But for a GSR I know the ITR fits. Dude just save your money and get a quaife, guarenteed for life and if it breaks they will send you a new one.

 

sorry didn't know that, i thought terry put his quaife from his LS into his b16 tranny. that was the example i was going off of.
