Default Ls/vtec problems

Ok here is the motor set up as far as I know.

Head

b16 head
ctr cams head has been shaved .20
skunk2 intake manifold
type-r header and full rsr exhaust

block

b18a1
type-r pistons

So here is he problem. The car has been sitting for 7 months and I just got it up and running 2 days ago. I know I need a tune but tonight it just died as I pulled up to the stop light. Tried to start it back up and got nothing. Called my girl to come give me a jump. The car started and idled like shit and died. I checked the timing to see if it jumped and it didn't. Checked the idle screw and I turned it out to make it idle and it still died. Now I'm stumped!!! Any help would be greatly appriciated!!!!

The first thing I'd think of is that the gas has gone bad, separated, etc. Fuel injected cars don't just stop running properly after sitting for a while, there are usually reasons why. If it was running decently, the list of possibilities is very small. If there is a decent amount of gas still in the tank, get most of it out. Put some fuel stabilizer in it, add some fresh gas, and let it sit for a while to let any sediment settle back out that may have got stirred up. And change the fuel filter, because it's cheap and probably hasn't been done in a while anyway..

I guess that'd be a good start. It's almost all gone now. I thought about just putting some high octane gas in it and go from there. I don't know if it'd work any better but it's worth a shot I guess.
