Default Let me know what u might think

Hey wasup i got a b16a jdm 2nd gen, when i start the car and let it idle the cel wont come on no matter how much i let it idle, but when i put the rpms around 2500 or so the cel comes on. When i turn the car off and turn it back on the cel goes off until i raise the rpms, i jumped the ecu but the cel just stays on and doesnt flash or anything. I thought it might be the o2 sensor so i replaced that, u think i might of got a faulty o2 sensor, shouldnt the check engine lite come on no matter what if the o2 is faulty? Also the idling keeps jumping from 800-1200 rpms, any help would be appreciated let me know. thanks

aiight i finally did get a code from the ecu, i kept resetting the ecu and doing it over to make sure i keep getting the same code so i know its working right, i keep getting 23 which is a knock sensor, can this cause the car to idle funny though? I disconnected the knock sensor and ran the engine but there was NO difference the cel still came on the same way everything was the same, does that mean anything?

doesnt the knock sensor adjust timing accordingly? if its bad it could adjust the timing and make the car run/idle harsh.
