KA or SR?
Ok I need some help/advice, I have a 1995 Nissan 240SX and I cant seem to figure out if I want to turbo the KA24DE or swap in an SR20DET. My goal is to have 400whp so I guess my decision all comes down to which one would be cheaper. So please if any of you have advice or anything let me know.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: KA or SR?
KA-T would be cheaper if your really looking at 400HP. The rebuild of a KA is cheaper than an SR swap. From there, upgrading the turbo, injectors, MAF, cams, cooling, and tuning costs the same between the two platforms. Also with this comparison, the KA will be a fresh motor with 0 miles, where as the SR has 60k+ miles.
If your willing to settle with something around 200-250HP, an SR would be the better choice. The amount you spend to peice together a good T25 turbo kit for the KA, will cost about the same as an SR motor set.

Re: KA or SR?
having a 2.6L KA sounds cool, but does the stroke really need to be any longer than it already is? haha
They are also outrageously expensive. Better getting an RB25, than doing a stroke increase on a KA24.
