it probably needs an idle air control valve

also the cat housing on my jeep sometime rattles at low RPMs. maybe that's the noise youre hearing...?

I work at a jeep dealership and my buddy who works with me has a jeep and he had a rattling noise. It was the shield around his cat.

its either the shield or the cat is broken/clogged up. both are EXTREMELY common on a jeep.

See the thing is that i just got a lift on it about a month ago and the grinding sound seems like its coming from my trany. i know i need to work on my idle but i thought it was a spring ill check the air valve. I gave it my first ever tune up and i changed the distrbuter cap and all the spark plugs and wires can that have anything to do with it?
