issue with 95 integra code 9
I have a 94 integra that was throwing a code 9. I bought a brand new dizzy and it took care of the problem. No CEL! Drove the care two weeks and the cel came back on. got another dizzy under warranty and it worked fine for a week, then the CEL again. Anyone run into this? What else will cause a code 9? The care is driven 100 miles daily round trip to work so I want to get it fixed asap so it doesn't let me down. Any help appreciated.
Where are the distributors coming from? Many of the aftermarket distributors are notorious for problems, so you might just be getting crap parts as replacements for the original failure.
Code 9 is cylinder position sensor not the crank position sensor but they are both inside the dizzy but if u just bought a OEM dizzy from Honda and the CEL came back on then I'd start checking the resistance in ur dizzy wires....cuz it could be building up resistance inside the wires
Shit like 2 summers ago I needed a dizzy for my 95 eg 4 door w/ a z6 and I couldn't find one ANYWHERE....so I called Honda and they told me 650 bucks....I told the dude I didn't even pay that for my whole car lol
They are high, I have $1000 in distributors and no good results. If the resistance is off in the harness whats would be causing it? The valves need to be adjusted badly. Would that cause the dizzy to get bad readings since its all related to valve timing?
