integra tranny

iam buying a tranny, and i dont know much about it, i was wondering is their a vin number or a bage on it .so that i know its a ls tranny and not something i dont need and is a waste of my money?

OBD-2+ cars will have the vin.

Why someone would lie about a LS trans... I have no idea. Hell, anything different than a LS trans is better
