Integra GSR random misfire

Integra GSR random misfire
I have a 2000 Acura Integra GSR and recently started having issues with random misfires.
We've replaced the plugs, plugwires, battery terminals, and the distributor.
We checked the vaccum, did a compression test, checked the fuel injectors, and the TPS.
Nothing we've done has fixed it and all the tests came back as perfect.
The code its throwing is random on all 4 cylinders. Sometimes we can feel it hesitating, but other times it drives perfectly.
Any other ideas on what it could be? I've been told bent valves, but wouldnt that make it run rough all the time, not just sometimes?

it are not your valves, sounds like something with the distributor. What engine code is it throwing?

Re: Integra GSR random misfire
ya deff. not your valves.. if it was your valves you would have seen that there was a problem in your compression test n you wouldnt be asking this question now... first thought is igniton coil in dizzyyy.... but more then likely just replace whole dizzy. and guarentee your problems lies there.....

Re: Integra GSR random misfire
also make sure its not leaking any kind of gas on the intake manifold from a fuel injector cause also a rip in the o-ring on a fuel injector can do this as well n cause that ive had it happen......

Fuck the ECU.
Throw it away and tell it you won't pay for micro chips.
Buy another.

Re: Integra GSR random misfire
Seriously though, if the coil is known-good, and the distributor is known-good, and there aren't any stored faults for position sensor faults (crank, cam, etc), and you're feeling hesitation sometimes, I would suspect the MAP sensor or intake air temp sensor. You've already replaced the likely suspects, so I'd look elsewhere unless the problem is consistent enough to be able to track down wiring faults, etc.
