integra groaning noise coming from enigne bay
i noticed last night on my way home from my buddies house that i was getting a groaning noise coming from the passenger side of the car at about 3,000 plus rpms,it almost sounds like vtec is crossing over...at first i thought i had lost my air cleaner but that was still intact when i checked under the hood, anyone have any ideas of what this might be?

Hmmmm.... My first thought when you say "groaning noise from passenger side of the vehicle" is a bad cv joint. Check if the boot is torn.
Or maybe Im misreading what you are saying. Is it only when you are moving or does it make the noise when you just throttle the engine?

when i have the car under load, out of gear no noise, when i let off the gas and the rpm drops it goes away...i work in a shop and ive never seen this on one of these cars

boot dosn't have to be torn to have a bad axel though...but why only at certain rpms is whats got me

So the noise is happening above a certain RPM, and in all gears? Any difference at that RPM range when the engine is not under load?
