Installing ARP headstuds
Just a few questions.
Is it mandatory to remove the cylinder head in order to install ARP headstuds?
Or...
Is it possible to take off the valvecover, and remove each stock stud one at a time, replacing it with the ARP stud?
Please leave comments/suggestions. Just wondering if removing the head and replacing headgasket is necessary.

Hey hoe call me.
you can replace head bolts with studs one at a time. Basically, follow your torque pattern. Remove 1, spin the stud down, use an allen wrench just to tighten a little on the stud so you know it is completely seated and not just binding in the threads, then torque down the nut on top of the stud to 60 ft/lb.
The worst case scenario is you screw up and have to replace your head gasket (doubt you will have to). But you should be fine. You just have to ask yourself if it's worth taking the chance... Yes, I have done it before and did not have a problem...

Re: Installing ARP headstuds
make sure you clean out the threads inside of the block until they are completely dry. there can be no liquids inside of the thread holes. if there is any sort of liquid your headstuds will surely back out and then you will blow your headgasket. trust me already went through this twice. and torque the studs into the block using an allen wrench on a torque wench set at five ft.lbs. or 60 in.lbs.

I've heard of it being done before.
but just like the other guy said. worst case you blow your head gasket and have to take the head off anyways. so if you want to find out, give it a shot.
