I need to know how many qaurts does a b18b1 tranny hold of transmission fluid?

 

I put three quarts in and fluid is leaking from driver side axle. I took the axle out a few different times to make sure it was in all the way and the axle seals are brand new.

 

something not right with the seal something might be bent

 

B series transmissions take 2.3 quarts of fluid... you put way too much in.

 

ive always put 3 quarts in when i do tranny's and never have had problem even though i know the capacity. you either have a bad seal or axle isnt all the way in, might have pinched the seal.

 

roughly 2.25 qts

 

some of you people say that you have put 3 quarts in, how do you pull that one off? cause i know once the tranny reaches its max level, it will start to leak out of the fill hole. i can barely fit 2.5 quarts in my gsr before it starts to piss all over.

 

HAHAHAH, fuck the fill hole....that just gets shit all over the place and makes a mess. SPEED SENSOR SONNN.....

 

haha, know what ya mean, but the speed sensor is above the fill hole, so i guess that would be a problem if the car was upside down....

 

Use the speed sensor. Much cleaner. And it's 2.3 quarts. Stick a quart of syncrhomesh in and love life.
