how much can an sr20 handle
how much whp can a stock sr handle before you gotta start upgrading internals and drive shaft? im shooting for 300-380whp... , also what are some recomended/mandatory reliability mods
I had a stock SR put down 425whp at 17lbs, I drove it at 20lbs without issues. Then again long term reliability probably would have been an issue.
it all depends on your motor red black or notch top... my notch held 20#s but i wouldn't keep it there for every long. with any sr do a good head gasket(cometic) and head studs (apr) you should be fine up to about 350rwhp on a good tune. but don't try to push the stock turbo to anything higher than 15 psi cause you'll over spin your turbo and burn up your seals. believe me i know i've smoked a stock t28 at 17 psi. efficency range for these turbos are about 12-15 #s

What turbo are you talking about? With a T25 you'll be making 265-275 max at 15psi if that. Not to mention your turbo will die very fast at 15 psi. If you upgrade to a T28 and some S15 injectors you can usually make around 300 and I am pretty sure after that to be safe you need to replace some stuff.
Stock block maybe. but at 12 psi it will see around 220 numbers. I dought they last long running 20psi on stock anything. To run 300-400 range you will need to upgrade fuel,z32 maf, atleast 550cc injectors, and ofcourse turbo downpipe.....ect ect. Might as well go ka-t and save $2200.

Oh didn't know that. I guess you can minus the $2200 and add the other stuff. Either way you go it will need a person to tune it for ya. Do it right the first time i say.
