i bought a gauge cluster out of a four door ef with a tach an i was wondering how i would wite it to put it in my ef hatch without a tach. does anyone have a diagram or know how to do this. help is appreciated.

 

i did the same thing
i didn't wire anything
it just plugged in and everything
and presto i had a tach

mine plugged right up to but nothing worked on it, and on the hatch cluster there is a 3 plug with 2 wires going to it and the four door cluster only has two which plug right into the hatches plugs but i am still left with 1 plug left that has two wires going to it, any ideas as to why it doesnt work still

 

which years did they come out of
i had a 91 hatch and i pulled the cluster out of a 90 4 door

 

thats what i have done, i have a 91 hatch and it came out of a 90 4dr

 

Look back into the harness there should be 3 plugs and they should just fit into place.

 

there is 3 on my hatch and only two on the cluster that came out of the 4dr civic

 

hmm, that should be the other way around :P wierd are you sure it's only 2??? One of them is reallllly small.
