Default how to build my d series

hey guys i blew my first motor last weekend, i was running 7 pounds on my stock d16y8, i know pretty pathetic, i still want to use a d16y8 and still boost, but this time i want to get it built anyone have any suggestions on how how i should build it? Daily driver prob stay at 7 pounds but i just want something reliable suggestions plz and thanks to anyone that helps.

Get it re sleeved, lower compression pistons and rings. There you go. For 7 pounds you really don't even need to have it re sleeved but you might have fucked them up when you blew it.

yeah forgot to mention fmu, but how much will everything cost, some good brand names to go with etc... thanks for the help

OEM rebuild because your going to blow it up again with the FMU

Tune'd stock bottom end> Forged bottom end on a FMU.

tuner toys rods, vitara pistons, and acl bearings makes for a killer bottom end for CHEAP

i think you have it backwards... the d16z6 head is better for boost... it flows/holds up better...

oem rebuild, if you only running 7 psi, just get it dyno tuned it'll last you. you dont need to build the sohc. unless you ragging on it everywhere you go, you shouldnt have problems. i never had any on a oem rebuilt d16z6 running 10 psi, but mine was dyno tuned on chrome pro. fmu ftl.

thanks for the help guys, btw anyone happen to have a oem rebuild kit for my motor or any after market stuff for my motor, like forged rods and pistons, or tighter valve springs anything like that pm me if u do
