Default Hood Alignment Problem

Whats up guys, I was looking at my brothers 03 Si the other day and realized that the hood doesnt line up like it used to. The car has never had any front end impacts or anything like that. Anyone have any clues as to where to start trying to fix it?

that theory may hold some ground, I've heard of extreme heat and cold warping metal over time.

No. It doesn't even get very cold there. If it actually was a problem, it would occur in places that actually got cold (or hot, etc), and you would have heard about it by now because the car is 8 model years old.

Check the latch, check the radiator support, check that the hood hasn't slid forward on the hinge bolts, check to see if the bumper actually moved and the hood is fine.

It may be possible that it got warped under the weight of a lot of snow though.. Unlikely, but possible.

Well, not to argue, but clearly it get's cold enough to snow, since he mentioned "blizzard" and all... just saying.

Cold enough to snow isn't very cold... just saying. My car, for example, doesn't turn into a pretzel when it's minus 20 in the winter here. Neither does any other car I've ever seen here, and this is nowhere close to the coldest place in the country or the world. So somehow I don't see a Virginia winter doing anything harmful, blizzard or not.

I'm just curious about where you would come up with an idea about sheet metal permanently deforming because of minor winter temperatures.
