ok so i got a 88 sedan and i have swapped a 1.6z6 vtec outta 95ex and all is well except im gettin no fire to the dizzy... fire up to the dizzy but nothin comin from the dizzy..i also have to pull the c2 main relay?ground and ground it by hand to get the car to crank.. im usin the z6 block a6 manny 91 si engine harness and the rywire obd0 to obd1 jump harness

 

is the thermostat housing ground grounded? i know it sounds stupid but thats a main engine ground

did u check to c if spark plugs were gettin spark and it also might b the wiring done so check that and let me knoe

 

no im not even gettin fire out the distributor cap.......

 

Isn't the coil built into the distributor on that engine? Do you think you could have a coil or cap problem? I'm guessing that you have something wired wrong though judging by what you say you have to do to get it to crank.

 

what ecu? also, you cant just plug the obd0 plugs into the obd1 distributor... do some more research

 

its the p28 from the doner car and obviously being im using the si engine harness with the obd1 dizzy they wont plug in ...in case there is also a dizzy jumper im using...sorry i didnt mention that just figured that would be an assumption

def leaningtowards the wirin causei tested the coil and all was well .. any suggestions on how to attack or single out this wiring prob????
