i put an hf manifold on my dx motor and I did all the wiring and when I start the the car it initially starts but then it dies right away, one thing is i didn't replace the ecu with an si one, do you have to use an si ecu? and if this isn't it are there any other possibilities.

 

do you have an alarm? what gaskets did you use?do you have gas?I have a pm6 ecu if youd like to buy to try it out?Only think i could say is reset the ecu..and do a compression check.

 

wait did you wire up the fuel injector resistor box? if you didnt then I dont think your car will run.

 

yeah i have plenty of gas, compression shoudn't be a problem, the motor worked fine before, it doesn't have an alarm, and yeah i have an injector resistor box

 

what ecu is in the car?

 

it is a PM5

 

you have to put in an SI or HF ecu you cant run a multi port fuel injection system with a dual point ecu

well..., my friend gave me a 93 vtec ecu and now it works, but it runs rough unless i am boostin, may be the timing though
