Help Me Please!!!!! Crx Dx
1989 CRX dx: 1.5L sohc non-vtec
Last night the car over heated while I was sittin still in a parkin lot. I cut it off instantly. I let cool down for awhile and tried to restart it, it would start but it popped back though the throttle body! when it did run it idled like shit and had no power!!! I let sit over night in the parking lot and came back to it this morning it started right up but it idled at 4000 rpms. I drove back to the house and gave it a complete tune up plugs,wires,fuel filter,cap, button,filled back up with antifreeze and cheched the timing found the hose that burst and fixed that as well. Now the problem is that the will idle only after I disconnected the cat. but as soon as u give it gas it will shut off. I dont know what the fuck is goin on. If any1 can think of anything please let me know!!!!
AND JUST IN CASE IF ANYONE HIJACKS MY THREAD I'M SAVING FOR A B16 SWAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

....hum sounds funny ... . any check lights on ... have you tryed starting it and unpluging sinsors to see what hapends maybe it fryed something ..... im not exactily the best person to reply to this but i figured id try

no check engine lights!!! I couldnt pull any of the sensors because it started raining and i was hungry but i'll try, good lookin out man. oh yeah one more thing my heat doesnt blow hot air either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... well the heat wont work unless the car is hot... wich i dont know if you had it hot or nut im not being a smart ass..... dont take me the wrong way ... if it wont run with the cat hooked up you could have cloged it up melted the core and stoped it up meaning with it on the exaust cant get out and it wont run ... and i dont exactily know hondas but some cars wont run with open exaust.... meaning it may idle but could be why it cuts out when you hit the gass... also check you throutle position sin :spelled all wrong: unplug it wial its runing and see what happends hit the gass see if it dus diff.... look around see if it has a head temp sinsor... unplug it if it dus... see what that dus .... un hook the batt for 10 mins plug it back in see what happends if non of this helps pm me for some more tips
