alrite ive always heard that a b18 header will fit a b16, so today i went and got a 4-1 dc sports type R header think it would fit, so i sized it up and i dont think it would fit. does the type R header not work on b16 but the others do?

 

should work fine the only differences i know would be that the GSR has no O2 bung in the header .. mayber there is a lil difference in lengths also but shouldnt be that big of a deal

 

type R header will bolt right up to a b16. only difference is the collector size which stock is 2.25 and type R is 2.5 so u will have to get a bigger cat with a larger flange

 

well the header fell 5 inches short, i have no cat so do u think the local muffler shop would cut me a 5 inch pipe with the connectors and a hole for the 02 sensor

 

all b series headers will bolt up. the b18's are a little taller so if you put it on a b16 it will hang a little low. b16 headers won't clear a b18 motor.

and yes, a muffler shop will be able to make whatever they need to connect your exhaust system up. they might not have the flanges for the header, but take it to them.

 

if the header u got is short without an o2 bung in it, then its for a 96-99 gsr.. dc sports makes a JDM style header for a b18(c1) and is shorter then all other bseries headers seeing is that both o2 sensors are in the cat on a 96-99 gsr
