how can i tell what kind of head i have on a 92 honda civic dx

Okay, your engine code is D15B8. Its a SOHC if didnt realize, NON_VTEC. May I ask why you want to know?

i asked b/c it's not a d15b8... it's a d15b5 and i was told i could hook up vtec to it... but i need to know what kind of head i have.

btw: 92-95 dxs are d15b7, cxs are d15b8

d15b5? are you sure it doesn't read d16y5? btw all you have to look for is the little vtec selinoid (sp?) on the upper left hand corner of the head (as you face the motor).

okay this is what i was told when i bought the car... the jdm d15b was put in... but the guy didn't know what kind of head was on the car. so i'm trying to figure out what kind of head is on it.
