h22a into EG hatch
Okay this is my first swap with an h22
First the motor is a H22A jdm swap ODD1
The car it is going into is a 92 DX civic hatch
This a complete swap that I have. I have the hasport axles and mounts and sub wiring harness for vtec motors in the dx hatch.
Questions are as follows:
#1- Do I have to swap any plugs or do any wiring for this to plug and play.
#2- Is there anyone who has done this swap before themselves and do they have any advice on how to go about this. (ex. what to watch out for..)
I am planning on running the ecu that came with the motor for the time being please any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: h22a into EG hatch
these people arent very nice... always tellin everyone to search. blah maybe we dont have endless hours to sit on our ass in front of the computer.
anyhoo from a wiring aspect the swap is exactly the same as a gsr into the same car, except you will have to lengthen the wires for the alternator since its on the front of the engine. dont know if hasport changed there mounts since i last used them, but power steering and ac are completely out the window. i had to use a flexalite slimline fan, and a clutch slave cylinder from a civic i think.. and the bleeder still stuck in the fan a little. but not enough to hit the blades. otherwise its pretty straight forward. the shift linkage is a little weird, just run it as cleanly and straight as possible. and for gods sake keep it away from the exhaust. youll have to take alot of crap out to get the heat shield out of the way, but its not so bad. just allow yourself lots of time for the swap, dont rush anything and youll be fine. theres alot more to do than a gsr swap, but fundamentally its the same. depending what year h22 you got there might be a little hastle with the distrib. if it has an external coil youll have to get the adapter from joe at hasport aka locash. aka ecuadapters.com uumm if its a jdm h22 the fuel rail is totally ass backwards. get one from an accord, or have a long ass line made.
