Default h22 Swap into 93 lude

I have a friend that wants me to put his H22 into his prelude, i pulled the motor out a while ago, and now he ordered a H22A to put in. not sure if it is a JDM motor or USDM motor, all the writing on the motor/fuseblock etc is in Japanese, so whatever that tells ya. also there are no numbers after the H22A.

so my question is, what wiring harness to use? he has the ECU, and of course the wireharness is cut.

im pretty confident about the swap.. any advice from others that have done it before??

Is anything scraped off? If not, it's JDM.

it's very straight forward. use the H 23 harness, and just add the 3 wires for the vtec, other than that its a direct fit

gotcha... any pointers to where i can find the 3 magic wires for the allmighty vtec..

also i would use the H23 harness with the H22 ECU correct.. and if it is infact JDM, would i need to acquire a JDM harness?

It is JDM, and no you don't need the JDM harness.. It wouldn't work anyway since everything would be backwards. There are places that sell the pins for the harness, best bet would be go to a junkyard and find a Honda of some sort and yank two of the pins out of the ecu harness a big pin and a small pin.. Also you will need an H22 ecu, or a Chipped P28 ECU out of a single cam vtec civic.. A lot of people use them since they can be chipped to do pretty much whatever as well as the fact that they don't use the knock sensor.
