Default GTI 1.8T Mod Questions among others

Just bought a 2002 GTI 1.8T and don't know too much about their mods, having a hard time finding a nice intake for it, seems like everything is for VR6. Wondering what the best exhaust system would be for it thats in a decent price range. And who does fair priced installations?

Last Question; I bought some 20th anniversary badges to be a big faker. ( naw, i just like to stand out a little more) I was wondering if there was a safe way to remove original badging without damaging paint and if 3m adhesive is good enough to hold on new badging so no one can just rip it off.

Thanks

CHip it. THis dude on www.757dubs.com it will be the best mod you ca get for it for cheap. You will prolly get 20 to 15 hp to the wheels. So if your looking for a good mod get a chip.

Thanks, im pissed now they got the badges i wanted. But the engine stuff helps alot, chips are pretty expensive so i might have around ebay for that and just get exhaust and intake done now.

exhaust will probably be more expensive that a chip. Make sure that when you get an exhaust that you at least get a full catback setup w/ a high flow cat. You will see a much larger power gain if you delete the cat also.

Yea i need some noise too though, i got about 2k to put into it but it would be nice only to have to spend 1 and bank the rest. I dont think i got time to mail my ECU either. I went to ecstuning.com and looked at their intakes but im hoping just to get something from ebay and hope it really works. Its sad but im more excited about the 20th anniversary badges I got them mad cheap from ebay ( It's an MK4 that wants to be older.)

Hell yes get the revo chip im sure its good for at least 30hp with a cai and exhaust. Get a forge 007 diverter valve and a samco t.i.p.. I had the same setup and loved it. I also had a miltek exhaust with a 2.5 inch dp.
Buy this shit now. It was one of the most fun reliable cars ive owned!!!

Spend the money on REVO software, GHL intake, and GHL 3" turboback exhaust.

....unless you want to go big turbo. For less than $3,000, you can do a GT28RS kit and produce 300whp on pump.
