Default GSR vs LS muffler

Are they the same mufflers or do the GSRs have a different exhaust?

From my understanding they are one in the same.

Who knows though. From what I understand the ITR is better...

acuraautomotiveparts.org
you can compare parts number to see if it is the same part

but if youre talking about performance gains, not sure.

No I'm not looking for gains. I've got a poor man's type R in a 92 hatch with a greddy SP2 exhaust right now. I just want quiet. If an LS is more restrictive than a GSR I'm not going to go for it, but I've got a kit wanting to get rid of his LS muffler.

All I want is stock quiet sound without giving up TOO much flow. I'll take advice on a super quiet aftermarket muffler too of you've got it.

stock exhaust=quiet; however, stock and hi-flow........oxymoron.

if you already have a cat-back, sell it and buy a vibrant universal muffler and have some one put some custom 2 1/2 in piping on for you. they're low profile, cuz they're black, and quiet. i've got one on my turbo teg with full 3in exhaust and it's quieter that it was when i first got it (stock header, stock cat, and apexi n1 2 1/2 in cat-back).

if you want to keep it quiet, go with a chambered muffler and keep cats on it. a turbo will also muffle the sound
