it will run the motor if you need it just to run it. i would only do it very temporarily unless you like the CEL being on and the motor not running perfect.

You wont be able to take it past 3500 rpm. The timing on a vtec motor is wayyyy different from an ls motor. Def. not drivable, and it will mess up your motor if you try to drive it

i have a friend running a Si ECU on a LS and it runs fine till he shifts at about 7k
But yeah on a side note, his gauge cluster was lit up like a christmas tree after he put in that ecu

There are no benefits, the maps are wrong for an LS. If you really feel like trying it out, I can chip your LS ECU with a GSR program that has all the unused hardware disabled. Then you won't get any CELs.
You're better off using the right ECU for the right engine though.. LS ECUs are easier to get and a lot cheaper than GSR ECUs also..
