There are two different Walbro pump product lines, a standard and an 'HP' suffix (for high pressure). There are actually 4 different 255 LPH pumps, two regular and two with rotated pickups.

The 'HP' pumps are just more linear flow with increasing fuel pressure, so they tend to work better with higher boost setups. Up to about 60PSI of fuel pressure, they're both the same. So if you use the stock ~40PSI fuel pressure, you can run up to 20 PSI of boost before you get out of the linear range of flow vs pressure using the stock fuel pressure regulator. This is assuming you have a proper way to tune for larger than stock injectors instead of using a ghetto rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

The HP pumps are more expensive than the standard pumps, but you might as well spend the extra money. If you can't afford the right fuel pump, you should really rethink your plan to do a turbo setup. If you can't buy a $100 fuel pump, there are a lot of nickel and dime parts that you'll need and won't be able to afford either.

i would go ahead and drop the dime on the more expensive HP pump just for the reason of planning ahead. you will spend 110 bux buying one pump and you won't have to change it later on when you want to make more power. instead of spending over $200 on two pumps when you only ever needed one.

get the big pump it will not hurt anything... now go call summit
