Few sr20det ???'s
How much power can a z32 maf handle before I need to upgrade to a cobra maf? What about the head, how much can it handle? If I don't plan on drifting or road racing, is there any point in getting rid of my mechanical fan?

If you plan on making more power than the Z32 can hold, then I suggest you get a standalone and get rid of a MAF altogether. That I know of, they're good to 500hp.
I can't stand the mechanical fan on any car.

I hadn't heard that. I know in the normal "sucking" setup that there is an airflow point past which they get flaky, but that can be avoided by running them in a blow-through setup.

blow through is even worse for the MAFS blax.
When the throttle shuts, the MAFS is still reading the air in the cold pipe which causes it to go crazy. I planned on going blow through instead of the normal draw-through, but changed my mind.
the z32 is good to 500.

Awesome, that's something less to worry about.....what about the head? All I have as far as that goes is Greddy rocker arm stoppers, power enterprise 1.5mm headgasket, and arp headstuds....
