1996 Ford Taurus 3.0 liter

car yesterday would not speed-up it would drive and then the rpms would go high when i hit the gass and act as if it was in neutral

today it seems worse it barely moved.

What do you guys think this could be??????? my family has to work on monday we need to get this fixed please help!!!!!!!!!!

The trans fluid is darker than norm.

A couple of my friends are mechanics..... i heard of some stuff to put in there to make it last a little longer but i wont be able to get ahold of him tonight. I will try tomorrow and see. But i think your screwed if the tranny totally went. If you would have done it while it was slipping then maybe it would have lasted longer

 

Rental car is your best bet. Rent from an airport, they are usually the cheapest. As long as you can drop it off in another state your fine
