exhuast
ok, im doing a custom exhuast on my 2000 dx coupe with a fairly stock y7. so i put a header on it which takes out the stock e/m / cat..now im using stock si piping with the stock resinator and everything. now my question is, is there a certain location a catalytic converter HAS to be, or does it just have to have one? Do i need one to pass va state inspection? any help is greatly appreciated

Re: exhuast
op, put it after your down pipe flange.. basically at the beginning of your mid pipe...

Re: exhuast
...for SI, there has to be one. weather it works or not, not my problem unless you are in an emissions checking area, north VA, MD etc. i dont really care where it is, preferred is up where the exhaust is hottest, gets working faster.
