Im a bit confused with what the CC and the stereo and all has to do with hooking up a boost gauge. Fill me in?

As far as the chime, clock and what not Id start by checking the fuses and see if one blew due to something you did.

Let us know

Which harnesses were you messing with? This is for a 1993 S13, but I think it should be similar to your year.

i was trying to find locations to tap my elec boost gauge on my stereo harness and all of a sudden i get these ill effects. im checking my fuses first thing tomorrow.

I do have a question about the boost gauge tho. What is the best way to install it? I tapped power and ground from my stereo harness and it didnt work (i have no idea why)? The gauge also requires a tap for ignition and parking light. Where should i tap these.

Its sad i can do a motor swap and engine harness conversion but can properly install a boost gauge.

Most of the circuits you listed are tied to "Illumination". You will be looking for a battery circuit fuse (power on even with the key off).

On my set up I tapped into the lighter circuit for the ignition signal.

does anyone have a boost gauge tapped into their parking light? What wire shoudl i tap for it. I want to be able to turn on the boost gauge illumination with the parking light switch.

I don't remember colors off the top of my head, I use a multimeter when wiring. I used the illumination tap from the heater control display.

For a quick check look at the colors on the dimmer switch and look for the same on other components that light up too.

if u can get the colors man id greatly appreciate it. i dont have a multimeter. the dimmer switch has like 5 wires wandering off into the dash coming from it. its gonna be a pain. Where did you tap ur power and ground from?

I don't have a 240, but I used to work on them for a living. Most Nissans generally have the same type of set up electrically, which is why my answers are kind of vague and not specific.

Get a multimeter and maybe a Haynes manual (for the wiring diagrams, if they have them in there).

For power I used the main ignition signal from the heater controls also (I removed most of that stuff anyway). For ground, cleaned off a small area on this safety bar under the dash and used a self tapping screw (body ground).

Edit: I used 2 ignition signals for 3 aftermarket gauges. The cig lighter and heater control.
