well, your location of your EGT guage has MUCH to do with temps.
~1250 is normal for a turbo honda, especially tapped in the right place. on the #3 runner about 1/2" from the head. more fuel will cool the temps more, as well as a larger FMIC, but 1250ish sounds about normal.

damn 1250 sounds low hehe
I'm used to seeing 1600 and sometimes a tad more every pass.
But I guess thats just a honda/dsm difference.
But on to what I wanted to know. Why in the number 3 runner?
Number 1 is normally the leanest on my car due to a pressure drop in the rail where the fuel pressure regulator is located. Number 4 is about the same, where the inlet to the rail is small. But there have been numerous tests on my stock fuel rail to come to these conclusions. Has anyone done any tests on you guys's rails?
Your gauge instructions should have a recommended spot for install. 1/2" sounds a little close.
Propane, alcohol, water injection, retard timing... there are many ways to cool your intake charge which will lower egt's. What kinda 02's are registering when you see 1250?

the egt guage should be tapped on the number 1 cylinder on a honda( the cylinder on the timing belt side, it will get the hottest and show your temp that is for real, i run 1000 just driving, under boost its about 1500-1600 depending on boost..............
