ecu wont fit
Hey guys i was wondering if yall could help me out. I recently bought a d16z6 ecu for my civic with a d16z6 swap. It is currently running on a d15b ecu. When i tried changing the ecu the connects wouldnt fit. Do i need a conversion harness?

Re: ecu wont fit
92-95 is obd1 plugs. 96+ is obd2. there is also obd2 B. you will have to run a jumper harness from obd1 to obd2

Re: ecu wont fit
You have an OBD2 ECU that will not fit on a OBD1 wire harness. Yes, you need OBD1 to OBD2.

Re: ecu wont fit
OBD1 is easier to tune than OBD2.
Just get an OBD1 ECU.

Re: ecu wont fit
yeah i just found some conversion harnesses, i found a obd2a to obd1. Does it really matter if its obd2a to obd1 or does it have to be obd1 to obd2a? Oh and by the way i found them for around 120 and the ebay ones are around 30. Would yall not recommend the ebay ones?

Re: ecu wont fit
get a new ecu. Use the obdI not the obdII one. that's cheaper than 120 for the above harness. Plus you can tune it easier
