it is basically just bolt on parts that turn your naturally aspirated fwd eclipse into a turbo awd one. you can probably get all the parts for less than $1000 and knock out the work with a few buddies and a few beers on a saturday. like i said, its a pretty basic bolt on swap.

Yeah, if you've ever done anything as advanced as changing brake pads you should be ok.

Actually if I were you, I would just swap the valvecover from a 4g63 to your car and be done with it. Thats the only real difference between the motors. Obviously you might need a new exhaust manifold to accommodate the turbo. However, if youre good with a sawzall you should be able to make use of the stock one.

But yeah, like he said, its all really basic.

Thanks guys.
But do i have to swap with a 4g63, i know theyre better but i dont have the bread for that atm, so do you think i could just leave my 4g64 in it?

+1 to the above statements. Also make sure you get the turbo spoiler or larger aftermarket one as the rear diff will need the extra downforce to stay mounted to the the drivetrain.

You can use the stock gs rear end, you will need a AWD ecu though

I believe AEM can only change the horsepower balance to the rear wheels, not torque. Might want to PM someone like Dave who knows a lot more about tuning, his username is HighPSI TSi Guy

Short answer. NO.

Requires cutting/welding for the rear end as well as the engine. The 420a sits on the opposite side from a 4g63. So again more cutting and welding.

You would be better off selling your car and buying a AWD.

There are MANY DSM resources on the internet. GOOGLE!
