Dual point to Multi port problems
Okay,
My boy has a 89 Civic hatch Dx
He did a swap in it.. A d16a6 swap from a si crx.
We put in a Pm6 ecu from the 89 crx si. it wouldn't rev out over 3200 rpms, so we tried my pr3 ecu from my hatch it revved out all the way. But since it was my ecu we put it back in my car. He later that night got an ls ecu PR4 and it revs out all the way but it will bog down here and there. We put the Pm6 in my car and it rev'd out to 6700rpms but wouldnt do half that in his. What the hell could be causing this?
Cliff notes:
-PM6 wont rev out but to 3300rpms in my friends 89 hatch but will rev out to 6700rpms in my 91 hatch with a d15b swap
-My pr3 lets him rev out all the way but we dont know if it bogs down cuase at the time it didnt have calipers so we didnt drive it.
-His pr4 will let him rev out to 6800rpm's but will bog down now and then
What could be the problem?
by the way it is running rich
probably becuase dual cam ecu on a SOHC motor? anyways
what can cuase this problem with the bogging down to happen?

it was all the way in..we made sure of it
but my question is
why do you all think it bogs down? i think it may be becuase of its not getting enough fuel that the computer expects it to be getting becuase the injectors arent ls injectors?

I have never seen an LS computer cause "bogging" problems on an a6, but it will run slightly rich. Has the a6 been sitting a while? I found on my old crx that if it sat for a period of time, the regulator would stick occasionally. ASSUMING... the dual to multi-port wiring was done correctly, sounds like a fuel delivery problem...ie regulator, filter, trash in lines or rail. I have had good luck with running the car hard to blow trash out, and using fuel system treatment. Just a thought.

It was done right
The A6 was sitting for about three months and then put in his four door civic
sold it w/o the motor and put it in his dx hatch.
so it was sitting for a while and before it took a while to start up.
it has been ran really hard lately..for the past couple of days/week
It does it more when its cold but occasionaly it will do it when its warm when you get up on it hard

nah john....see.. the d16a6 came out of the 89 si parts car crx i had, EVERYTHING was on it! we are using the si dizzy and the pr4 ecu now..but it bogs down when you either bang it into a gear hard or give sudden burst of acceleration

but what would cause the car to only be able to rev out at 3300 rpms with a pm6 but 6800 with a pr4
no sense
