Default DSM suspension questions

getting ready to find/buy a decent suspension for the GSX. it's a 2g. i've been looking around and would just like some input from some of the other DSM members on the board about their setups and how they like them as well as how they ride, as well as what you guys think to be the best setup without going crazy. the car is a daily driver and wont really be beat on.

budget isnt much of a concern. dont autocross. just would like a fairly nice ride and decent handling. not looking for the ultimate badass street/strip setup. sort of a moderation between awesome handling and decent ride.

Tokico Illumina 5 ways. I got some on my GST. About 1.5"in drop. You can adjust the shock stiffness. I'm using the Tokico springs, but if you wanted coilovers, it should work. Koni makes good stuff too.

eibach pro kit or sportline. a 1.5 inch drop will be decent in looks but will improve handling alot. 2 inch looks good but then you have to get a camber adjustments. i lowered my 1g gst with 1 inch springs and i loved it. KYB AGX struts are nice too.

I agree. 1.5 is the most you should go if your car is a daily driver. You start to scrap a lot of stuff at 2in plus the fr/rr camber kits can get $$$ if you get a quality kit. You shouldn't need too much of a camber adj if any at all with 1.5. You really can't go wrong with any of the kits that the other eclipse guys talked about. It'll depend on how much adj you want in your susp, pref in product line, price, etc. Good Luck

I have eibach sportlines with tokiko illuminas and ingalls camber correction on all 4 corners, as well as front and rear strut tower braces. The strut tower braces made the most noticable difference in handling. The drop from the sportlines make the gsx look the way it should have looked from the factory. My car rides really nice too.

I'm with Big.

If you don't wanna spend the money on a full coil over setup. Get tokicos and eibachs. Koni yellows are very nice, but are designed for coil overs if you go that route get ground controls or the adapter for use with a spring. Skunks are extremely stiff and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
