I HAVE A 1990 TALON TSI AWD AND I WHILE BACK MY ENGINE WAS SMOKING AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE HEAD SO I TOOK THE HEAD OUT AND TOOK THE HEAD TO A MACHINE SHOP TO GET RESURFACED AND PRESSURE CHECKED AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE I PUT THE HEAD BACK IN AND IS STILL SMOKING IS THERE ANYTHING I AM NOT LOOKING AT ?? LIKE A OIL LINE SOMEWHERE THAT MIGHT BE BROKEN OR LEAKING DOES ANYONE KNOW IT SEEMS TO SMOKE UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD PLEASE HELP .....

 

Does it smoke all of the time?

 

IT STARTS TO SMOKE WHEN IT WARMS UP......I CANT FIGURE IT OUT IM ABOUT TO TAKE IT TO SOME SHOP

 

get a light and get under the car and look where its smokin and see if theres somthing dripping or whatever. somthing could be dripping on the downpipe, or maybe the knock sensor is messed up?

 

or the seals in the turbo could be going bad?

 

my isle screw came out of my turbo laser and made it smoke when it warmed up... *shrug*

my gst did that. then i upgraded.

 

where exactly is the smoke coming from? back of the motor, front? is any smoke coming out of the exhaust? does the smoke stop completely when the car is warmed up? does it smoke under boost? if so where from?

 

from the exaust and it only smokes when im under boost .......and i did bolt down the heads right i followed the hand book and yeah i was just asuming it was about 145 becasue afther you torque it to 90 pounds ,,you have to give it to more 90 degree angles and its set so i figures it was about 190 lbs
