dsm question?
hey, i have been looking into getting an eagle talon for my first car....now i know some people say they aren't dependable but i dont really care. I have read up on commomn problems they have...I have found a few that with the 1st and 2nd gear grinding....I was wondering is it was possible to buy a stronger transmition that would be so likely to crap out on me....if it is possible how much do you think it would be...thanks for your help.

Re: dsm question?
If you can drop the tranny yourself, Shep http://www.shepracing.com/ does a "stronger" rebuild for ~1 grand.

Don't get one from LEVEL 10! I had 2 of them from those guys and blew both of them to hell in my 2G Talon. I only had 325HP to the wheels too. You have to except the fact that Mitsubishi makes a awesome motor but really sucky transmissions. I always tell people when they get a DSM, buy a couple of extra trannies and atleast one transfer case if its AWD. Good luck.
